The American Society of Bone and Mineral Research added the Adele L. Boskey Award to its esteemed awards this year, to recognize an ASBMR member for outstanding and major scientific contributions, leadership and mentorship in the area of bone and mineral research especially in the areas of mechanisms of mineralization, bone mineral, bone quality, and mechanobiology. Marjolein is the first recipient of this award, thanks to a nomination by Mary Bouxsein, Chris Hernandez and Mitch Schaffler. As a friend, mentee and collaborator of Adele’s, this award is incredibly meaningful.
