The Biomedical Engineering Field has a Graduate Assistantships in Areas of National Need (GAANN) training grant from the US Department of Education. The goal of this grant is to increase the number of well-trained BME PhDs, with an emphasis on promoting diversity and developing the teaching skills of GAANN Fellows.
Derek has been selected as a GAANN Fellow for the 2016-2017 academic year. He is assigned to teach BME 3030, Biomedical Instrumentation, with Professor Schaffer in Fall 2016.
Enjoy this great opportunity!
