Marjolein attended the the “Cartilage Biology & Pathology” Gordon Research Conference at Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco in Lucca (Barga), Italy from April 2-7, 2017. A beautiful setting for science! As one of two? engineers (along with Farsh Guilak of Washington University), she learned a lot about the mechanisms of cartilage development and degeneration. Our data on in vivo loading and cartilage damage were well-received.
